District 4-5A Play Opens Tonight
Why wait until Christmas day to watch two powerful teams (Cleveland and Los Angeles) square off when you can see the defending 5A state champions, Mansfield Summit, begin District 4-5A play against 10-game winners, Arlington Martin, tonight? The two will tango at 6 p.m. Summit should come in well prepared despite losing five games in non-district play. The Lady Jaguars are coming off a 44-40 defeat to Mansfield Timberview and a 51-42 loss to Cedar Hill.
In other 4-5A news…Arlington Bowie will put its one-loss record to the test tonight when it opens up District 4-5A play against Arlington Sam Houston at 6 p.m. The Lady Volunteers have won seven straight games since dropping one to Duncanville on Nov. 24.

District 4-5A should be fun
Judging from the early success District 4-5A has had this season, district play in the Arlington-Mansfield area should be exciting. Arlington Bowie is playing as well as any team in the area at 13-1. Bowie’s only loss is to Duncanville. Arlington Martin is 10-4. Mansfield Summit, the defending 5A state champions, are 9-3. The Lady Jaguars have lost their three games by a combined 13 points. Arlington Sam Houston (7-5), Mansfield (5-6) and Arlington Lamar (6-8) aren’t far behind.
